MySQL Cluster Benchmarks: Oracle and Intel Achieve 1 Billion Writes per Minute

Oracle and Intel have completed a series of benchmarks to test the performance and scalability of MySQL Cluster on commodity servers equipped with the latest-generation of Intel® Xeon® E5 processor family.

Running the tests, MySQL Cluster delivered:

  • 4.3 Billion fully consistent reads (SELECTs) per minute
  • 1.2 Billion fully transactional writes (UPDATEs) per minute

To demonstrate high performance without sacrificing high availability, the database was configured with full clustering and replication - ensuring continuous operation and full data consistency, even in the event of server failures.
