Matanuska Telephone Association (MTA) has grown into Alaska's largest telephone cooperative, serving 38,000 members over a 10,000 square mile area. MTA delivers communications services that include wireless, high-speed Internet, long distance, and business communications systems.

MySQL is managing the most critical data for the telecom provider, including, subscriber inventory for each of 52,000 access lines, traffic logging, equipment tracking, and government reporting.
