MaxDB Installation Manager released!

The new MaxDB Installation Manager has been released. With the Installation Manager you will be able to install a MaxDB instance and give a basic standard configuration for it, in just a few "clicks".

The Installation Manager offers a intuitive and easy to use graphical user interface that guides you through the installation procedure. You can setup a desktop database or even a 'customized for production' system.

The installation manager is now released in a prototype version to be used together with MaxDB version 7.5. The final version will be shipped as of MaxDB version 7.6.

Prototype characteristics are the following:

• Installing MaxDB software and instance works
• Ugrading MaxDB software works, instance upgrade is not yet included
• Installs a safe production version of MaxDB
• Deinstallation is not included yet and would have to be done manually
• Supports currently Linux and Windows 32 bit, and AMD/Opteron 64bit for Linux
