Oracle Migration Kit shows MySQL Impact

At MySQL AB we are pleased to note that Oracle Corporation has shown their recognition of the significant MySQL impact in the database market by creating a MySQL-Oracle migration kit. We are delighted that Oracle shares our view that it should be easy to transfer data between various database architectures. We would however have found it prudent and in the interest of users to make the migration kit work in both directions. This would have been our choice since maximum flexibility makes it possible to operate heterogeneous solutions and to always have the best possible database in use for each application. MySQL AB aims to make superior data management products available and affordable for all.
