Abriasoft partners with O'Reilly to release box packaged distribution of MySQL

AbriaSoft, a Silicon Valley provider of database solutions, today announced its release of Abria SQL Standard, the company's first packaged MySQL distribution. Abriasoft also announced a partnership with O'Reilly & Associates, including the book "MySQL and mSQL", written by Randy Jay Yarger et al. in their distribution.

The Abria SQL Standard distribution features the latest stable release of MySQL, the Apache Web server, PHP4, PERL 5.6 and other integrated components, in a turn-key RPM (RedHat Package Modules) install. Tools for managing MySQL and the Apache Web Server are also included in the package. With the installation of Abria SQL Standard, older versions of MySQL are automatically upgraded to the newer versions. According to Mark Gerow, program manager for Abriasoft, installation will take no more than ten minutes.
