Netlog ensures fast response times as traffic increases 300% with Sun's MySQL Enterprise Unlimited

Ghent, Belgium -– March 6, 2009 –- Netlog, one of the fastest-growing Web communities in Europe, today announced that it has purchased a MySQL Enterprise(TM) Unlimited subscription from Sun Microsystems to help ensure its database infrastructure will scale to handle its 300-percent traffic increase last year.

One of the monitoring tools that Netlog benefits from is the new MySQL Query Analyzer, which helps improve application performance by monitoring query performance and accurately pinpointing problem with SQL code that may be causing a slow down.

Netlog's in-house development of 'sharding' system based on MySQL(TM) databases is one of the secrets behind its high performance and ability to serve millions of users.
